Hellooo Northampton!

I’m Becky, I’m a Northampton based Family & Newborn Photographer and actually, contrary to many other photographers, I’m just as comfortable being in front of the camera as I am behind it… I just love a silly pose! 

I’ve been professionally taking photos of humans since 2017 and loving every second of it. I’ve found my happy place and this is absolutely a dream job for me – working with smiley people on the happiest moments and biggest milestones of their lives!

It’s fair to say that my route to being a Photographer hasn’t been a straight forward one. I’ve had enough job titles to give any recruitment consultant a heart attack. (Oh, I’ve done that too by the way. Been a recruitment consultant – not given anyone a heart attack…). To name a few jobs: Hairdresser, Saleswoman, Army Soldier, Sports Therapist, Personal Assistant… many may call me a jack of all trades, but I’ve finally mastered my “one” – I love Photography and that is where I am staying until I am too blind to see through the lens and too weak to pick up my heavy heavy camera!

Whether you’re booking me for family photography or a newborn photography, they are very personal events and I always think it’s very important to “click” with your Photographer. I’m a very relaxed, easy going person by nature and love to meet new people… especially after 1 year of lockdown!! 

So, with getting to know each other in mind, here are a few random facts about me:

Food is life

I live in Northampton with my lovely bald husband, Omar and my crazy 2 year old, Zaki

I love mud runs

I train Muay Thai and boxing

I do the previous mainly out of enjoyment, but also to counter the insane levels of calories that I consume each day

Every time I watch Titanic, (at least twice a year) I always hope they’ll swerve and miss the iceberg

I really will never understand why people queue to board the plane at the airport

I love mince based meals – shepherds pie, moussaka, lasagne, spaghetti bolognaise. Ok I’m drooling.

Marmite on toast is my true love

I don’t drink

My favourite holiday destination HAS to be Oman

I always say “I don’t really watch TV” but when I think about it harder – I actually watch ALL the TV (Married at First Sight, Made In Chelsea, Love Island, I’m a Celeb… sorry)

My favourite Quality Street is the infamous Strawberry Cream

Crisp, sunny Autumn days before the clocks go back are my favourite

My favourite crisps are Sensations Lime & Coriander Popadoms (Yes I did just write the word “crisp”, and then start thinking about crisps…)

My guilty pleasure is getting eyelash extensions

My even guiltier pleasure is my celebrity crush on Christopher Plummer. Yes he is about 90 now. But back in “The Sound of Music” days he was quite the dish. 

Second to Chris, is Jason Isaacs – yes, that is Draco Malfoy’s Dad. I have no shame
